OBSEA is a cabled seafloor observatory located 4 km off the Vilanova i la Geltru coast in a fishing protected area. It is connected to the coast by an energy and communications mixed cable.

In the OBSEA we are collaborating with interoperability projects to provide the acquired data information using standard protocols.

Carrying out the localization and systematic monitoring of marine species allows identifying their activity and movement patterns, which are necessary knowledge in a sustainable fisheries management plan.
The general objective of the INTMARSIS project is to integrate different measurement and data communication technologies in a new design of surface buoy and seabed seismometer.
